Put audiences first to deliver persuasive talks

What do you want your audience to be talking about after your talk?

When I’ve worked with speakers, from beginners to TED-alumni, I ask this question. The best presentations are the start of a conversation. Sometimes it’s immediate in a Q&A session. Mostly however, you’re giving a talk to influence conversations that your audience has and/or those they engage.
